AALEP CALLED TO ORGANIZE A HIGH LEVEL LOBBYING SEMINAR IN JAKARTA

AALEP has been called to organize a high level lobbying seminar in Jakarta in January 2012, initiated by Student-to-student Networking (STUN) in their programme of "Focus on Youth Leadership". The seminar which will span over 5 days will deal with the practice of managing, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating lobbying campaigns. The main purpose is to improve the knowledge and skills of participants in research, media, communications and advocacy skills, as well as provide participants with experience and practices of advocacy and lobbying on a national and international level.

This seminar limited to 30 participants on a first come, first serve basis is intended for government staff, representatives of trade and professional associations, company executives, law and political science students from Indonesia as well as other ASEAN member countries. Upon completion of the course (30 hours) and the submission of a Lobbying Plan on a selected and relevant  issue participants will be awarded a Professional Lobbyist Certificate delivered by AALEP.

Participants will also have the opportunity to attend a half-day presentation of the Swiss Arbitration Association (SBA),  a non-profit association with over 1000 individual members, practitioners and academics engaged and/or interested in domestic and international arbitration.
