"L’encadrement français du lobbying reste extrêmement lacunaire. Les propositions du projet de loi de Michel Sapin sur l’encadrement des activités économiques comblent le retard français. Toutefois, en se focalisant sur les « cadeaux » au lieu de se concentrer sur l’exigence de transparence des activités de lobbying, le projet de loi passe à côté du cœur du sujet.

Accreditation is offered by the Association of Accredited Public Policy Advocates to the European Union (AALEP) as a service to those who find added value in a voluntarily obtained credential that provides recognition by peers that they have training and knowledge in the practice of government relations, have experience in applying that expertise competently, maintain appropriate professional development, agree to abide by ethical standards of practice, and are able to communicate effectively.

Established in 2007, the ECFR Council has grown from 50 founding members to over 270 members from across Europe.

Currently chaired by Carl Bildt, Emma Bonino and Mabel van Oranje, ECFR's unique European strategic community includes serving foreign ministers, former prime ministers, members of national parliaments and European Parliament, EU Commissioners, former NATO secretaries generals, thinkers, journalists and business leaders. The Council gathers once a year as a full body for the Annual Council Meeting ,hosted in a different European capital each year.
