TRUMP AMBASSADORIAL NOMINATIONS- EUROPE

  1. Belgium: Jamie McCourt (6/26/17). Former co-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, has donated money to several Republican organizations, including funds for Trump’s campaign and his transition to the White House. McCourt was among many business leaders who signed their support for Trump early on in his campaign, praising his plan for economic development and growth. In the months leading up to Trump’s victory, McCourt gave more than US $ 400,000 to the “Trump victory” fund. McCourt has founded and directed entrepreneurial enterprises in Los Angeles and Boston throughout her career as an entrepreneur and attorney. Her investment firm, Jamie Enterprises, invests in real estate and technology start-ups. She has degrees from Georgetown University, the University of Maryland School of Law and from MIT/ Sloan School of Management. She speaks French.
  2. Czech Republic: Stephen B. King (7/11/17). Mr. King is a prominent public servant and businessman who successfully acquired, built, and sold a specialty chemical manufacturing business and founded a family investment business. Earlier in his career, Mr. King investigated civil rights violations for the Federal Bureau Investigation, served as an investigator for the U.S. Senate’s Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, and was named Special Assistant to the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture for liaison between USDA and the Agriculture Committees of the House and Senate. Mr. King earned a M.A. and a B.S. at Western Illinois University.
  3. Germany: Richard Grenell (7/20/17). In 2001, Grenell was appointed by President George W. Bush as Director of Communications and Public Diplomacy for the United States Permanent Representative to the United Nations. Serving in that role until 2008, Grenell became the longest serving U.S. spokesman at the United Nations, advising four different U.S. Ambassadors. In 2009, Grenell founded Capitol Media Partners, an international strategic media and public affairs consultancy. He is under contract with Fox News where he is a "Contributor" commenting on foreign affairs and the media. In 2012, CNN ranked Grenell's social media outreach as one of the top 5, and Time magazine named Grenell as one of the Top 10 Political Twitter Feeds of 2014.
  4. Holy See : Callista Gingrich (5/25/17). Callista Gingrich is the wife of Trump ally and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich .
  5. Italy & San Marino: Lewis Eisenberg (7/11/17). Finance chairman of the Republican National Committee who helped to oversee Mr. Trump’s general-election fundraising.
  6. NATO: Kay Bailey Hutchison (6/29/17). Former US Senator from Texas from 1993 to 2013.
  7. Portugal: George E. Glass (6/19/17). Founder of Pacific Crest Securities in Oregon. He donated $33,400 to the Republican National Committee in July 2016 and gave $22,500 to Mr. Trump’s inaugural committee.
  8. Russia: Jon Huntsman, Jr. (7/20/17). Son of Jon M. Huntsman, the billionaire head of global chemical producer Huntsman Corporation. He was a Mormon missionary in Taiwan for two years in the 1980s, and holds a BA in international politics from the University of Pennsylvania.  He speaks Mandarin.
  9. United Kingdom: Robert Wood Johnson IV (6/26/17). Owner of the New York Jets, an heir to the Johnson & Johnson pharmaceutical empire, was a top fundraiser for Mr. Trump and for the presidential inauguration.
