US COMPACT OF MAYORS

The Compact of Mayors is a global coalition of mayors and city officials launched in 2014 by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. The purpose is to galvanize cities and local governments into setting transparent, ambitious goals to help reduce emissions, develop clean energy solutions and adapt to the impacts of climate change.

Many US mayors and other local elected officials are dedicated to meeting the Paris climate targets . American people at all scales and in multiple sectors will continue to advance climate change solutions and grow the clean energy economy.  All across the US states, private industry and advocacy groups are coming together.
