WHO'S WHO IN DIGITALEUROPE

Here below are the Executive Board Members of DIGITALEUROPE:

  • Peter Olson: President of DigitalEurope. Peter Olson is Vice President and Head of the Ericsson European Affairs Office in Brussels since May 2011.
  • Morten Bangsgaard: Vice-President of DigitalEurope. Morten Bangsgaard has been the CEO of The Danish IT Industry Association (ITB) since 2009. ITB has approx. 400 member companies, and a dual focus on actively pursuing the interests of the Danish IT industry through strong public affairs activities, and delivering the best business network activities to the members of ITB. As CEO he is in charge of the daily running of the secretariat and has the main responsibility for the board, executive committee and ITB's strategy. Furthermore, he is in charge of the National/Regional, Nordic and European collaboration.
  • Laurent Baudart: Board Member of DigitalEurope. Laurent Baudart is Managing Director of Syntec Informatique since 2008.
  • Klaus Beetz: Board Member of DigitalEurope. Klaus Beetz is the Leader of the Global Technology Field “System Development Technologies” at Siemens Corporate Technology. He is also the Business Director at EIT ICT Labs European Institute of Innovation and Technology.
  • Craig Burchell: Board Member of DigitalEurope. Craig Burchell is Philips’ senior representative in Brussels contributing to Philips trusted partner status with the EU institutions influencing policy changes affecting business growth in EU and other key markets including US & BRICA. He is Philips’ CEO Frans van Houten’s personal Associate in the European Round Table of Industrialists, (EU’s top 50 CEOs), and Philips’ representative in the High Level Advisory & Support Group of Business Europe. He leads Philips’ global trade and market access team of lawyers and experts, and government relations for Philips Consumer Lifestyle. Craig supports the CEO, Executive Board, and market leaders in their activities on Philips’ lobbying agenda and collaborates in international networks on European and global advocacy campaigns. He is a Board Member of the Transatlantic Business Council on T-TIP and an experienced chairman, active in organisations and alliances including ERT, Business Europe, TABC, TABD, Digital Europe, TPN, EPC, Lighting Europe, AIM Health and Wellness, BritCham EU, etc. Craig Burchell was chairman, twice re-elected, of the Trade Policy Committee of Digital Europe, leading the interests of hi-tech ICT companies in EU; past WTO Forum chairman at the European Policy Centre and of Working Groups in Business Europe.
  • Arnaud Brunet: Board Member of DigitalEurope. Director, External Relations Europe - Sony Europe. Heading the Brussels Office he is responsible for the relationship with the European institutions (Commission, Parliament and Council) and with the European trade associations. He also coordinates the relationship between Sony and the national governments in the EU member states through a network of local Sony colleagues.
  • Stephen Collins: Board Member of DigitalEurope. Stephen Collins assumed the post of Vice President Corporate Affairs for Microsoft EMEA in February 2012.
  • Hans Daniels: Board Member of DigitalEurope. Hans Daniels is Managing Director and Vice President Enterprise Business General Western Europe (GWE) at Hewlett-Packard Company.  In this role he has responsibility for 12 key markets including Austria, Belgium/Luxemburg, Denmark, Finland & the Baltics, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland.
  • Julian David: Board Member of DigitalEurope. Julian David was appointed director general of Intellect the UK ICT trade association in March 2012.
  • Turan Erdogan: Board Member of DigitalEurope. Vice-President, ECID (Turkey)
  • Chris Ffinch: Board Member of DigitalEurope. Chris Ffinch was appointed Director of the European Legal & International Affairs team of Panasonic Europe in 2008, so combining the role of General Counsel, Europe, with responsibility for Panasonic’s public affairs in Europe. He reports to the European CEO, Laurent Abadie, who is also an Executive Officer of Panasonic Corporation.
  • Kaisa Olkkonen: Board Member of DigitalEurope. Head of Nokia Corporation´s Brussels interest representation office. Vice President, EU Representative Office.
  • Juha Saarnio: Board Member of Digital Europe. Juha Saarno is currently the Head of Innovation Networks in the Federation of Finnish Technology Industries. His responsibilities include innovation policy, EU and National Innovation Platforms, as well as, the competitiveness of Finnish ICT R&D&I.
  • Agnieszka Sieg-Trafalska: Board Member of Digital Europe. KIGEIT (Poland).
  • Yannis Sirros: Board Member of Digital Europe. Yannis Sirros is the Director General of SEPE - the Federation of Hellenic ICT Enterprises - since September 2001. Mr. Sirros is Vice Chairman Europe of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) and a Member of the Task Force of the European Information Technology Observatory (EITO).
  • Andreas Tegge: Board Member of DigitalEurope. Andreas Tegge joined SAP in 2005 as Vice President for EU Government Relations. In this role Andreas heads up the SAP EU Representation Office in Brussels and is in charge of managing the company’s relations with the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Council and other stakeholders.
    Andreas represents SAP in various EU Trade Associations and other EU platforms. He serves on a number of Executive Boards including the Board of the European Internet Foundation, the Board of the Transatlantic Business Council and the Board of the Alliance for European Logistics. Moreover, Andreas Tegge is engaged in EU advisory platforms such as the Sherpa Group of the European Cloud Partnership, the Sherpa Group of the EU High Level Group for Smart Cities and Communities and the Sherpa Group of the EU High Level Group for Logistics. In 2012 Andreas Tegge was Chairman of the EU Selected Industry Working Group that advised EU Commissioner Kroes on Cloud Computing Innovation and Uptake. Andreas Tegge  also serves as Rapporteur of the WG Digital Economy of the European Ideas Network (EIN), a network of European policy-makers and major European Think Tanks.
  • Marc Vancoppenolle: Board Member of DigitalEurope. In December 2011, Marc Vancoppenolle took the responsibility of Vice President Public Affairs Europe, based in Brussels for Alcatel-Lucent . In this role Marc Vancoppenolle leads the company’s EU representation office in Brussels, where his mission is to work with EU institutions and other relevant stakeholders to create a favourable political and regulatory environment to foster public and private investment in the digital and broadband industries with a focus on innovation for sustainable growth, competitiveness, and quality of life in a connected environment. His responsibilities include as well the coordination of the Alcatel-Lucent Public Affairs network across European countries and CIS. He is a member of the board of FITCE Belgium (forum for ICT & Media professionals) since 2004 and has been a member of the board of IICB (Innovation & Incubation Center Brussels).
  • Gabor Vicze: Board Ember of DigitalEurope. Gabor Vicze has extensive project management experience with SME's and multinational IT companies engaged in EU projects within the EU and internationally. He runs IVSZ, the ICT Association of Hungary
  • Thomas Wrede: Board Member of DigitalEurope. Thomas Wrede is the Vice President, Reception Systems at the satellite operator SES in Betzdorf/Luxembourg, where he and his team are responsible for developing and implementing satellite reception products and solutions. Thomas Wrede represents SES in the DVB Commercial Module (www.dvb.org) and also chairs a technology and innovation forum at the German Association of Commercial Broadcasters and Audiovisual Services (www.vprt.de)
